Cake Slice Guide
Cake slices for celebrations are calculated on a 1x2x3 inch sized portions.
Wedding cake Slices are calculated on 1x1x3 inch portions to get more slices per cake.
The more slices you get out of a cake, the better the price per slice is. Thus meaning the more you save. You get more slices out of a cake if your slices are square as opposed to round. Similarly fruit cake, though slightly more expensive than sponges they will produce more slices because of its rich flavour.
Cakes & Tiers
Tiered cakes are usually served in finger portions as seen above.
4" & 6" Round & Square cakes will give approximately 30 slices
6" & 8" Round & Square cakes will give approximately 60 slices
4", 6", & 8" Round & Square cakes will give approximately 70 slices
6", 8", & 10" Round & Square cakes will give approximately 120 slices
4", 6", 8", & 10" Round & Square cakes will give approximately 130 slices
6", 8", 10" & 12" Round & Square cakes will give approximately 180 slices
Larger Round & Square cakes up to 14" are available

1 - cakes that are iced with simple decoration & edged with a ribbon.
2 - cakes that require additional decoration (like flowers and toppers).
3 - cakes that are decorated with bespoke designs and have sugar or chocolate flowers.
Chocolate (with or without added flavours), Vanilla, Carrot, Raspberry, Strawberry, Blueberry, Black Cherry, Pineapple, Banana, Lemon, Orange, Champagne, Prosecco, Gin and Tonic, to name just a few. We can make bespoke flavourings for your specific requirements. Please ask if you don’t see your favourite listed.
All sponge cakes can be filled with a special buttercream recipe which can have added flavourings of your choice. These are vast and compliment the sponge cakes.
Can be made with or without NUTS, also with or without Liqueur
Sponge cakes can be iced using either Buttercream, Fondant or Royal Icing. These can be coloured and the butter icing can be flavoured to compliment the cake fillings. Sponge cakes are covered in either milk or white chocolate ganache.
Fruit cakes are covered in either Royal Icing or Fondant Icing, with or without marzipan underneath.
We use Massa Ticino sugarpaste to cover our cakes.
